"The
Voice" coach Adam Levine has been tapped to host an upcoming episode
of "Saturday Night Live."
The Maroon 5 frontman has made six appearances on the comedic sketch show since 2004, including various cameos in the viral "SNL" Digital Shorts, but he has never hosted the program.

His call-up for the Jan. 26 episode comes after a pair of acting efforts last year: Levine had a recurring role in the TV thriller "American Horror Story" and he filmed the movie "Can a Song Save Your Life?," which is due out this year.
Levine will be joined by rapper Kendrick Lamar, who will be making his "SNL" debut as the musical guest.
