Carol Burnett is facing a legal battle over the proceeds from her hit TV comedy show.
Executives at a production company owned by Bob Banner, the late producer/creator behind "The Carol Burnett Show," filed a lawsuit at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday claiming they are owed money from a home entertainment distribution deal.
The firm's executives allege Burnett has reneged on an agreement to hand over a slice of the profits from the series' home entertainment sales, and they are now demanding an audit of the proceeds as well as the money which is allegedly owed, according to TMZ.com. Banner himself died in 2011.
"The Carol Burnett Show" ran for 278 episodes between 1967 and 1978.
