'Real World' star died from opiate intoxication

WENN

Former "Real World" star Joey Kovar died from opiate intoxication, according to a medical examiner's report.

The troubled star was discovered at a friend's home in Chicago in August with blood trickling from his ears and nose. Paramedics attended, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was originally believed a lethal mixture of cocaine, Viagra, and alcohol was to blame for Kovar's sudden death but a representative from the Cook County Medical Examiner has since listed the cause of the tragedy as "opiate intoxication."

The 29-year-old's death has been ruled an accident and sources close to Kovar tell TMZ.com the late reality star had been taking prescription painkiller Norco but it is unclear if that opiate was involved in the tragedy.
