Sci-fi fans were given the ultimate thrill on Saturday as all five "Star Trek" captains
united at a London convention.
William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate
Mulgrew and Scott Bakula -- who have each commanded starship operations in
their respective shows -- were brought together onstage at Destination Star
Trek London.

The occasion marked only the second time the stars have
come together, and the first time outside the U.S.
Shatner, who played
Captain James T. Kirk, tells the BBC any former rivalry "has long since passed"
and the stars are now "good friends," adding, "I would presume getting together
is a problem because we live in divergent [sic] areas of the world."
The
event hosted Britain's first Klingon wedding for a Swedish bride and groom and
also broke the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of fans dressed
in "Star Trek" costumes.
