"Dancing With the Stars" pro Mark Ballas has brushed off a fiery argument he had with partner Bristol Palin, which was featured on Monday's episode of the TV contest -- even though it led to her almost quitting the show.
Palin was clearly upset with her partner after last week's results show in a video shown before the popular pair hit the dance floor on Monday. She accused him of wishing he would rather have former partners -- and current all-star contestants -- Sabrina Bryan or Shawn Johnson than her.

The argument was so emotional for Palin that she walked out of a rehearsal with Ballas. However, the couple managed to put aside their differences for the sake of the dancing contest, and they pulled off a dramatic paso doble for Monday's show.
The routine earned Palin's highest score to date but still put her and Ballas at the bottom of the pack. After the show, Ballas spoke to People magazine about their flare-up, and he insists that all is well between him and the reality TV star.

He says, "We're fine. We've danced together before. This isn't our first season together. The last season we did together, we didn't argue once -- nothing, we were just chill. So the fact that we've made it through a season and a quarter and this is now our first fight is amazing.
"We love each other. Sometimes people piss each other off. We've swept it under the rug and carried on. We had a rough day out of many, many, many days that we've spent together."
Palin adds, "Mark is reassuring. We got that fight out of the way." The pair will find out if their hard work has paid off on Tuesday night's results show, during which two couples will be eliminated.
