Fleetwood Mac lead singer Stevie Nicks has slammed "American Idol" judge Nicki Minaj for cursing out Mariah Carey during a recent audition taping.

TMZ leaked a video of the Starships hitmaker lashing out at Carey during the Charlotte, N.C., callback auditions. Nicks, who served as a guest mentor on last season's "Idol," tells TheDaily.com that she would not have tolerated Minaj's smack talk.

She says, "How dare this little girl!... If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there ... I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it."

But Nicks insists her remarks should not be confused for her interest in becoming a future judge on the show. She exclaims, "If you stick me in the middle of a burning fire, I don't think I'd like it very much."
