As the "Who's Next to Join American Idol" rumor mill runs at full speed (Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, Nick Jonas), word has it that one superstar turned down a megabucks deal to join the judges' panel.

Katy Perry reportedly said no to $20 million for a yearlong contract with "Idol," a source tells Us Weekly.

The 27-year-old singer was "hotly pursued" by Fox producers, according to the source.

The $20 million salary would have topped the $18 million paycheck fellow superstar Mariah Carey will be getting as an "Idol" judge (and Mariah's the highest paid judge on any TV talent show).
