A spokesperson for Jason Segel has denied the actor is leaving the hit sitcom "How I Met Your Mother."
Segel, who plays Marshall Eriksen in the Emmy-winning show, was rumored to be making the upcoming eighth season his last so he could pursue more dramatic roles.

The speculation was apparently sparked after Segel was quoted as telling Austrian website Kurier.at, "I've been playing the nice guy for quite a long time now. That's why I'm gonna quit 'How I Met Your Mother' after the eighth season."
But a representative says the reports are unfounded, telling TVGuide.com, "Perhaps something got lost in translation, but Season 9 hasn't even been addressed yet."
Segel has played the lovable character since "How I Met Your Mother" began in 2005, alongside castmates Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, Josh Radnor and Cobie Smulders.
Regarding 'How I Met Your Mother', I've seen this program a couple of times. Is there any way to get the character named Ted off the program. He is painfully boring. The program should be about Marshall and Lilly. At least they are entertaining. Ted is horrrible. The program only needs three characters - Marshall, Lilly and Barney.
Everyone else - OUT!!!
