Adam Lambert: 'I would jump at the chance' to judge 'Idol'

RollingStone

According to E! Online, former contestant Adam Lambert is being considered for a judging spot on "American Idol." A source told the magazine, "They have been talking about Adam for over a month," and added that his previous experience on "Idol" would "bring a unique perspective to the show."

But speaking to U.K. radio station Capital FM on Monday, Lambert played down the rumors. "I'm just hearing about this today as well, and so, what a beautiful rumor. Listen, if '-- and I say 'if' with a capital I-F -- if they were to approach me and if they were to say, 'We want you to be a judge on the show,' I would love that. I would jump at the chance," he said. "I owe my career to 'American Idol.' I mean, if it weren't for 'American Idol,' I doubt that ... I would be sitting here with you ... I think it would be really exciting to be sitting at a judging panel and trying to help people reach their dreams."

In 2010, Lambert was rumored to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on "Idol," but he quickly shot that down, saying, "I would be honored to be asked, but I think at this point I'm just focusing on my career as a recording artist."

If they choose Lambert as a judge I will never watch the show again.  He is not experienced enough to judge anyone.  AI think they have problems now with their drop in ratings let them get him for a judge.  If they are trying to get canceled this is a good way to do it.

Of course he would jump at the chance to be an Idol judge...What else is he doing? My question is how the heck can he judge others talent when he himself has none? He went from singing in his bedroom to singing on a tv show that "manufactures" talent all in a two month period! He did not pay his dues in the music biz. to get where he is now..He won a televised talent show because a bunch of teenage girls & homosexual boys thought he was cute! His so-called "career" will not last, so he would be wise to jump on any oppourtunity that's thrown his way and bank the cash while he can!

I don't know where you get cry baby from? Do some people post anything negative just because they just dislike Adam? It is unbelievable to me that Adam gets so much hate. He is such a decent person, very generous and giving, thoughtful, and has a huge heart. Everyone that meets him say he is humble, down to earth, and as nice as can be. Judge on AI? I would definitely start watching the show again. With Adam's knowledge about music and all his vocal training, he would be able to properly critique the contestants. There was  reason his reviews were stellar when he mentored in Season 9.
