In the wake of some good news for the movement for marriage equality -- Proposition 8 was declared unconstitutional in court on Tuesday -- talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres is facing another wave of discrimination.

Bing: One Million Moms protest DeGeneres

DeGeneres, who married wife Portia de Rossi when gay marriage was legal in California, was recently named a spokesperson of retailer J.C. Penney. A group called One Million Moms has protested her appointment.

Apparently One Million Moms believes intolerance is a traditional value. I LOVE Ellen and think she is super classy in the way she addresses her haters here. I am so glad Prop 8 was declared unconstitutional and fully support marriage equality. Everyone should be allowed to marry the person they love, regardless of gender. I applaud Ellen for speaking out and think I'll shop at JC Penney just a little bit more now!

Though I don't believe in gay marriage, imho, you cannot base someones employment qualifications on their sexual orientation. It is called "descrimination". I think Ellen will be a wonderful spokesperson for JCP. I enjoy watching her show. And if JCP drops her because of some ratical nutjob moms, I will close my account and take my business elsewhere.

For crying out loud, it is NOT news that Ellen is a lesbian.  I don't know why people have such a problem with her being a spokesperson.  It's funny to me how these mom groups seem to have nothing better to do with their days than cause stupid issues like this.  Take care of your kids or get a job -- quit stirring up problems.  If you don't like it, don't watch/listen/buy it.  Clearly these parent groups have a lot of free time on their hands so instead of doing something productive with their additional time, they have to stir up an issue.  Ridiculous!

Oh for Saint Peter's sake do you really think the Lord is looking down on JCP and Ellen and saying shame on you two.  Our lives' would be much better served if we followed in his footsteps and did not cast stones.  For all the hateful people out there I would say please go read your bible.
