On Friday, Jan. 13, "One Life to Live" ended its run after 44 years on the air. The end of the series -- and its sister show, "All My Children" -- didn't come without controversy. Angry fans have launched Save Our Soaps campaigns and sent countless letters to ABC, refusing to tune in to replacement shows "The Revolution" and "The Chew."

Try as they might, though, there's been no response from the networks, and it's likely that Friday's episode was the last we'll see of Llanview. Unlike "All My Children," which ended with a series of disjointed cliffhangers, leaving fans unsatisfied, "One Life to Live" made a distinct effort to wrap up dangling threads.

Longtime fans finally got answers to the ongoing question of Jessica's paternity in an emotional scene that revealed that she is, indeed, Clint's daughter. Clint then proposed to Viki -- another tearjerker of a scene, particularly for the actors involved, it seems! Bo and Nora also tugged on our heartstrings after becoming grandparents. When he said, "I love you, Red," we were taken right back to the early days of their relationship (which we will now proceed to dig up on YouTube).

Todd and Blair, who are headed to "General Hospital," were in flagrante when the police arrived to arrest Todd for murdering Victor Lord Jr. In a surprising twist, though, it was revealed that Lord is still alive and, it appears, kidnapped by Allison.

Were you satisfied by the last episode? Will you watch the "One Life to Live" cast members who are headed to "General Hospital"? Will you give "The Revolution" a chance?

Itsmillertime, nice of you to do some assuming yourself. Hmm, 5:30 am to 9pm? Doesn't sound like your a mother at all. Hypocrite.

As for the article here; it's sad to see another long running show end.

The Chew is not only a stupid name but we already have Rachael Ray.  We don't need more shows with people who try to teach you to cook.  Haven't there been enough shows about transformations of ordinary folks.   The networks just want to save $$ on paying actors.   All My Children and One Life to Live will be missed   However OLTL did a much better job of wrapping up stories.   I'm over daytime TV, except Y&R.   I hope the replacement shows crash and burn!!!!!!

soaps are the last training ground for real actors. It is a medium we cannot afford to loose. ABC you are fools if you thnk we want any more reality or talk or food shows down our throat. Or shows that make celebrity's out of people with absolutely no talent or brains whatsoever. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH

And of course, a few more people who have no business being here have arrived.  Again people, just because we love our soaps does not mean we are unemployed, uneducated loafers who sit on our behinds all day, collecting unemployment and smoking crack.  We do have jobs.  Ever heard of a DVR?!?!!?  I bet I can safely say that I also put in more hours in a day that you do.  I am a working mother.  I work from 5:30am until about 9pm.  And you?!?!!?  Oh that's right.  You obviously don't have a life, which is why you're hiding behind your computer screen and bashing other people over the shows that they watch.

i was very satisfied with the last episode, so much better than the ending of All My Children. I cried through most of it,  Would like to have seen Vicki give a final send off but loved that Clint and her are back together. and some loose threads resolved. Yes I will watch the cast members headed to GH and so glad they are doing so as their characters. And no I will not watch either "The Chew" (actually I did once and it is an hour of my life I will never get back), or "The Revolution"
