Kardashian boycott? Petition asks E! to cut Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and the rest

It isn't exactly clear what Cyndy Snider does want from E!. What is clear is what she -- along with more than 67,000 others at last count -- doesn't want: Kim Kardashian and her family taking up valuable time on the cable network anymore.

In a petition posted to GoPetition.com on Nov. 2, Snider asks that concerned parties join her in pushing for the end of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," the reality show that chronicles the lives of sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, along with their mom, Kris Jenner, stepdad, Bruce Jenner, and half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner.

"We are respectfully requesting that your network find other shows to air," reads the petition addressed to E! Online. "'Keeping up with the Kardashians' is just not viewing that we, the public, would like to see from your network. Enough is enough."

"We feel that these shows are mostly staged and place an emphasis on vanity, greed, promiscuity, vulgarity and over-the-top conspicuous consumption," said Snider in a statement to Yahoo!. "While some may have begun watching the spectacle as mindless entertainment or as a sort of 'reality satire,' it is a sad truth that many young people are looking up to this family and are modeling their appearance and behavior after them."

Despite the 67,000-plus supporters, though, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" remains one of E!'s highest-rated shows. In fact, the special "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" drew 10.5 million viewers. Nevermind that Kim and her husband, Kris Humphries, are now estranged.

On Tuesday, the movement's Boycott the Kardashians Facebook page posted this message: "I think it's safe to say we are in the process of going viral!"

What do you think? Are the Kardashians the heralds of the decline of Western civilization?

Do you HONESTLY think that a piddly little 'petition' is going to make a cash cow for the E! network magically disappear? Get REAL, people! This is making the network do the happy dance of joy! ANYtime someone 'stirs the pot', so to speak, it's ratings gold! It seems like the American people have lost all sense of what is right & what is wrong! The juicier the scandal, the higher the ratings! Some say they just won't tune in. Yeah, right! We all will! We are a curious bunch! Take Casey Anthony, for instance. All of us SAY we wouldn't watch her interviews or a tv movie about her. But, the sad fact is, we are all curious. We would tune in. Not all, but most. So, don't think that just because a petition is signed that the 'powers that be' will make the move to cancel the show. They won't. Plain & simple. It all comes down to the all mighty dollar & ratings. Anybody who thought her wedding was for real, not for ratings(including her hubby), should rethink it!

What a silly idea!  We all know that ratings is what makes the world go round...when people stop watching this silly show, then and only then will these people go away, Remember Star Trek I do, it was a show that few people watched, BUT it caught on in re runs,  it came back in many forms BUT again it has went away many times, so did "Here's Lucy" staring Lucy Ball, Dick Clark, and hundreds of other shows, time and time and time these shows and people  keep coming back in one form or another, bottom line is you can't keep a good idea down, if the public stops watching , the show will go away for sure, I get tired of watching Cops shows, Lawyer Shows, and Comic shows with laugh tracks do they go away...NOT!  and so it goes , so it goes.

This family and the people that associate with them are the epitome of what is wrong with this country. Vanity, vulgarity, greed, and just plain vileness are the qualities that this family exudes. I have to believe that the people that watch this crap are only doing so because they like to watch the pure stupidity that runs rampant in the show. The downside to this is that it keeps these monsters on the air and keeps promoting their shoddy merchandise, which I guarantee is made over seas. These people must GO!!!. If America truly wants to get back to having good values and morals, removing these parasites from the air and public consciousness is a good place to start. If we can get the Klown-dashians off the air, think of what else we can accomplish.

All for BOYCOTT! Kim Kardashian does not have taste I would want for myself or my family. She has no class, sense of style or good morals. She made a sex tape and now uses her looks to make herself money and lies constantly to make herself look like this perfect angel when in fact she is nothing but a fame whore who starves for attention. I hope the youth of today don't look up to her and have more respect for the meaning of life and marriage!

How many of you have had sexual partners and didn't marry them, haven't seen them again or even know their names. But does that make you a whore men and women. I'm sure if our lives were put out there some of us would be called names too. Let it go. Take a minute and evaluate your life and who you are? Do you like all that you've done? And above all they are human beings with feeling too. Stop the bashing and name calling how childish.
