Call it the fray of pigs.
Insults of the porcine variety are flying between George Lopez and Kirstie Alley after the talk show host took several unkind digs at the actress's figure following her "Dancing With the Stars" debut this week.
"She did a nice job, her little hooves tapping away," he said on Tuesday's "Lopez Tonight" while showing footage of Kirstie's much-praised performance with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. "Before the show, she went to the market, and then she had roast beef and this is her going all the way home."
The punchline: He rolled a clip of Geico's "whee!"-happy piglet commercial.
Because, as we all know, poking fun at someone's well-publicized weight issues is truly the height of comedy.
Alas, instead of waltzing her way onto the high road, Alley stooped to Lopez's level.
When one of her Twitter followers informed her that he had just called George a pig, she responded, "lol...a drunk pig...hehe."
Kirstie, who tweeted on Tuesday that she dropped 60 pounds before boogying down on "Dancing With the Stars" and thought she had lost another 10 in the last few weeks, wasn't the only contestant subjected to George's gibes.
He also took aim at Ralph Macchio ("He cut a mean rug, then took the rug that he cut and glued it to his head"), Wendy Williams (his favorite "male" dancer) and Kendra Wilkinson (to calm her nerves, she "pictured the audience picturing her naked").
What do you think of George's comedy (and we use that word loosely) stylings? Tell us in the comments.
