It looks like the rumors of Hulk Hogan "running" TNA are still going around, this time from the Hulkster himself. At an appearance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn. Hogan told all the fans who showed up that he "got back into the business to run TNA." Oh, this might not be so good. He told the Gimmie Noise blog that he's coming into TNA in a Vince McMahon role, and claims that in the 1980s he moved next door to Vince in Connecticut and taught him all about "lifting weights, riding motorcycles and partying like a mad man." *** The word is that Mickie James (pictured above) is going to retire. She's going to retire in an attempt to become a country music star. Mickie has signed on with Skyline Management, a firm that specializes in developing country music recording careers. She's also signed with Absolute Publicity to handle imaging consulting. At least she's serious about it. Mickie has been unhappy with the way she's been used in WWE lately (can you blame her?) and with no real light at the end of the tunnel for the divas division, it seems Mickie's going to jump ship. Good luck to her. She now joins Stacy Keibler, Lita and Trish Stratus as former main event divas fed up with WWE and gone. *** Frankie Kazarian (Kaz/Suicide) had apparently asked for a release from TNA over his unhappiness with how the Suicide character was being used. Most recently Suicide was putting over newcomer Pope D'Angelo Dinero (Elijah Burke). Apparently both A.J. Styles and Christoper Daniels smoother the situation over, so Suicide is happy again. *** It looks like WWE Films is going to be producing a movie starring Undertaker as himself. The plot explores the origins of the Undertaker character and goes back to a 19th century old west mortician. The book and comic books were bad enough, but now this. I am alone when I say the supernatural overtones to Takers ring persona are just plain silly at this point? *** We reported last week that Cryme Tyme's Shad Gaspard said he has Swine Flu. While that part is correct, Shad is now tweeting that he never had the swine flu and was just ill. Now, when SARS (remember SARS) was a big deal, I caught a cold and joked that I had the disease. I didn't do it publicly, nor was I on a television show watched by millions of people around the world. Nice going Shad. *** And finally, WrestleMania XXVI tickets go on sale Saturday. This year, 'Mania is in Phoenix at the University of Phoenix stadium. Ticket costs range from $25 to $755.
