$$BLOG$$drunk-chris-jericho-gets-on-tmz - msn-SuperfanChris Jericho is causing a bit of a stir for his probably drunken appearance at the Sacramento Horror Film Festival last week where he repeatedly called the moderator "Hadji" and then "fag."

Jericho was taking part in a Q&A session after a screening of the film Albino Farm, in which he has a role.

During his time on stage he started acting a bit like bully and called the host, Mr. Lobo. "Hadji" a number of times, which has been a slur against people of Middle Eastern descent.

When Mr. Lobo went to sniff Jericho's drink, Y2J pushed him aside and said "It's apple juice, fag."

Here's the video from TMZ. Click here>>>

OK, so you've seen it. And it's pretty clear Jericho is drunk and acting like a fool. You can also see that he realized the gaffe afterwards and tries to deflect attention away from it.

Later on, Jericho apologized and told TMZ, "After seeing the video I realize some inappropriate comments were made and I apologize if I offended anybody. Just know that everyone on stage was having a blast and we all shared a drink and a laugh after!"

But, the incident raised the ire of media-monitoring group GLAAD, the Gay and Lesbian Anti-Defamation Alliance. They didn't think his apology was sincere.

On Thursday, GLAAD President Jarett Barrios issued this statement to TMZ.

"There is no time, context or occasion in which it is acceptable to utter racist and anti-gay slurs. Jericho's hollow apology 'if (he) offended anyone' is a template used by many and is insincere and worn."

Now, I see where GLAAD is coming from, and before people get hysterical about free speech or gay agenda things, remember that GLAAD's mission is to monitor all forms of media and be the watchdog for any type of anti-gay discrimination. If I were in Barrios's shoes, I'd be pretty pissed too.

However, I doubt Jericho was attempting to use the word "fag" as a slur on Mr. Lobo's sexuality, nor would I consider it a verbal assault. It is mean-spirited, though, and I think Jericho should have realized he's not in his living room with his buddies.

Now, Mr. Lobo too did not accept Jericho's apology. He told TMZ that he was "deeply offended" by the comments and that everyone onstage having a blast is false.

"I don't think [Chris] has the capacity to give an honest apology," he said. "I don't think it's in his character," he told TMZ.

He then went on to call Jericho names of his own, principally, "a**hole."

Now, it's pretty clear from the video, that the folks onstage are certainly not having a blast. But, who is this guy Mr. Lobo? His Web site calls him a nationally known horror film host, but I've never heard of the dude. Maybe I'm old fashioned and remember guys and gals like Zackerly and Elvira hosting horror films, but Mr. Lobo doesn't even ring a bell.

Check out his Web site here.

He has a video posted in response where he challenges Chris Jericho to a match. Either this was a setup to get Mr. Lobo some publicity, or he's taking charge and trying to scorea higher profile from it himself.

And while it starts out pretty much OK, seven minutes is way too long, and frankly Mr. Lobo is way too boring.

So Lobo, spare us the indignation and either do a better job promoting yourself or leave the promos to the professionals.

Nice touch with the neck brace, btw. If it were 1981 and you were Andy Kaufman.
