V, ABC's much-hyped remake of the '80s sci-fi series, scored big in its premiere last night: According to Variety, it's the biggest debut of the fall. General consensus is that while the premiere -- in which aliens arrive on earth, claiming to offer us peace, medical miracles and more -- was a bit slow at the start, but the twist in the final moments was worth it. What did you think? It's definitely less campy than the original, which the SyFy channel reran all weekend. No one's eaten any rats, so far! And no hybrid alien babies yet.

Firefly's Morena Baccarin makes an intriguing villain as Anna, the enigmatic alien spokesperson. And it's not hard to accept Lost's tough-as-nails Juliet (Elizabeth Mitchell) as a resourceful FBI agent. While I'm going to really miss Mitchell on Lost, I say "Vive le resistance!"

And look for Juliet in at least two more Lost episodes, producers told EW this week. "There’s still something very significant that we have not yet learned about the character,” Carlton Cuse teases.
