Our favorite TV bromances

The end of Fox's beloved medical drama "House" also marked the touching conclusion of one of TV's most enduring and endeared bromances -- the friendship between House and Wilson. Based on Holmes and Watson's simpatico partnership, House (Hugh Laurie) and Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) proved that men can and should form durable bonds of a platonic nature.

But worry not. Although House and Wilson rode off into their happily ever after on a couple of matching motorcycles, TV still has a healthy amount of bromances to aspire to and appreciate. From Bill and Eric on HBO's hit vampire drama "True Blood" to the eponymous pair on TNT's courtroom comedy, "Franklin & Bash," bromances are here to stay, and TV is better for it. Read on for more best-bud pairings.

Bill and Eric, "True Blood," HBO

Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) haven't always been the best of friends. In fact, they were more like frenemies and later, romantic rivals competing for the love of Sookie (Anna Paquin). But time has changed things and Sookie has dumped them both. Now Bill and Eric are relying upon each other more than ever as they fight to stay sane and alive amid a possible vampire vs. human war.
