The search for America's best dancer is on! "So You Think You Can Dance" kicks off Season 5 on Thursday, May 21, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX. Don't expect any big changes to this vaunted reality competition series. Executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe is sticking to the show's well-worn formula: Find a bevy of attractive and extremely talented hoofers, invite some of the industry's hottest choreographers to showcase an eye-popping routine each week, have host Cat Deeley serve up some of the friendliest banter you'll see on the tube, and every once in a while encourage judge Mary Murphy to let out her barbaric yawp. MSN TV had the opportunity to sit down with both Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy during the show's audition tour stop in Seattle. The lively pair talked about this year's pool of talent, the upcoming season and their roles on one of TV's most popular dancing competition series.

MSN TV: How has Seattle been in comparison to other cities you've hit?

Nigel Lythgoe: Wet and cold.

Are you talking about the weather or the dancing?

Lythgoe: It reminds me of England, actually, and all the reasons I left. The dancing has been disappointing, to be frank. I haven't seen any passion yet or any real talent at this moment in time. So far we've seen 15 seconds from them, in truth, and even when we've seen the solos from them, I've personally been disappointed in comparison to around the country.

What about you, Mary?

Mary Murphy: I'm pretty disappointed, too. We've definitely seen some extraordinary dancers this season around the country. My expectations were very high coming to Seattle because this is the last city. We still have a lot to see today and a lot to see tomorrow. I'm hoping things pick up. But as of right now, really disappointing. There's nothing for me to stand up and cheer about. No screaming whatsoever!

Lythgoe: I can guarantee you we've had some of the best dancers we've ever had in other cities.

But, Mary, I sure hope you've seen a few dancers that made you scream. There have got to be some that have stood out.

Murphy: I'm not going to say who it's for, but there was a performance that was the first, without a backstory behind it, that I absolutely had a meltdown for. It was beautiful, and I broke down. I continued thinking about it the rest of the night, about how brilliant this person was and how lucky I was to have a job to witness great dancing like that.
