Here's a look at shows that defied the odds ... twice!

With his show off the air for eight months, Bill Lawrence, the creator of "Cougar
Town," decided to try something new to drum up excitement for his struggling
series. What's the idea? Throw ... more a string of viewing parties in major markets to
get people talking about the show, which stars Courteney Cox as a divorced woman in her 40s.
Though "Cougar Town" got off to a slow start with critics, it found its creative
footing in Season 2, even if a larger audience has thus far eluded it. But like
plenty of other shows that had a rocky start, the show's third season will
be its second chance at success. Here's a look at some shows that were given
that rare Hollywood gift: a second shot.
