Singer Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about her departure from "The X Factor," insisting she gave the job "110 percent" and has no regrets.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer stepped in to replace Cheryl Cole after the British singer was booted from the judging panel last year, but Scherzinger has been axed from the lineup along with Paula Abdul and host Steve Jones ahead of the second season.

Sound off: Who should replace Nicole and Paula?

Scherzinger tells "Access Hollywood" she doesn't know why she lost the job but is grateful for the experience. "What happened?" she says. "Well, all I know is that I gave 110 percent to that show. I don't know. I know everybody's talking about it. They're saying good, bad, they love me or hate me, but the one thing you can't say is that I didn't give it my all."

"I had a wonderful experience on the show," she continues. "I loved being a part of my 'X Factor' family. Nothing could obviously prepare me for everything I had to go through, all the emotions and stuff, but I have no regrets. I've always believed in never looking back and just moving forward, and I've got an amazing year to look forward to."
