Mariah, Nicki Already Feuding on 'Idol'?
Reports suggest two new judges mixed it up at New York
taping
MSN Entertainment
What happens when two
divas stop being polite and start getting real? Looks like we might find out
this season on "American Idol," because TMZ reports newly minted judges
Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are already locking horns on set.
During their first taping Sunday in New York, Mariah reportedly interrupted
one of Nicki's contestant critique several times. Minaj responded in her usual
understated way: She upped her volume and tried to drown out Carey's
comments.
And though the ladies attempted to mask their apparent
animosity, "These girls just don't like each other," an "A.I" source sighs to
TMZ, which alleges that when producers first called Mariah to notify her that
Nicki would be joining her on the judge's panel, she hung up on
them.
Carey, however, isn't trying to compete with Minaj,
style-wise. For the auditions, Mariah, 42, was chic in an all black minidress
that showed plenty of leg, while Nicki, 29, opted for marshmallow Peep-hued
hair, camel toe-ariffic baby blue pants and turquoise clodhoppers.
As we eagerly await Mariah's inevitable handbags-at-dawn duel with
Nicki (and what we hope is some good TV as a result), Keith Urban has
unwittingly lost an important game of musical chairs: He's seated between them
during the auditions.
