Producers cast the usual suspects for the reality show's reboot

It makes sense for producers of the dormant reality series "Wife Swap," premiering Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC, to turn to a celebrity edition in hopes of rebooting the franchise. After all, the same strategy extended the life of "The Apprentice" by a few seasons. When casting the series, however, producers relied upon a predictable list of celebs for the five-episode run, leaving very few surprises among the list of participants. This could have something to do with celebrities not wanting to expose their families to the spotlight, since the show involves one member of a married couple swapping places with one member of another family, but which likely has more to do with the show having far less cache than "Dancing With the Stars" or "The Celebrity Apprentice," two shows that have made some inspired casting choices over the years. Here's a look at who you'll see when the franchise returns, along with some of their previous reality TV credentials.
