The 10 grossest things ever eaten on TV
Also known as the opposite of anything you'll ever see on
'Top Chef'
By MSN TV
Long before viewers became enamored with the cringe-worthy diet of "sketti"
(and bobbing for raw pigs feet) on "Here Comes Honey Boo
Boo," TV personalities and reality contestants have been ruining appetites
for the TV audience with their food choices for years. From Andrew Zimmern to Anthony Bourdain to contestants on
"Fear Factor" to "Survivor," the days of Bear Grylls drinking his own urine
to impress us ... err, survive ... are gone.
Of course, in some parts of the world these "gross" foods are delicacies.
Occasionally they even appear on "Top Chef" as mystery
items during quick-fire challenges -- though they're usually masked by flavorful
sauces and gourmet accoutrements and not just simply boiled or completely raw.
So, before we sit down to salivate over the multitude of delicious culinary
masterpieces that await us on the next season of "Top Chef," MSN TV is taking a
look at the most disgusting things we could find that have been eaten, or
attempted to, on TV. "Top Chef: Seattle" premieres Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 10 p.m.
ET/PT on Bravo. Hungry yet?
