"Raising Hope" started with a father-daughter relationship and ends on that theme," says exec producer Mike Mariana about the comedy's final episode (April 4, 9:30 ET/PT on FOX).

Yet, while the premiere was about single dad Jimmy (Lucas Neff) and his baby, Hope (Baylie and Rylie Cregut), the finale focuses on Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and her previously deadbeat dad, Arnold (Jeffrey Tambor), who returns to town with two surprises: the dream wedding Virginia and Burt (Garret Dillahunt) couldn't afford (hence the royal wedding garb) and Kenny Loggins (hence the dropped jaws). Loggins sings "Danny's Song," which Virginia warbled to Hope in the premiere.

Says Mariana: "It closes a circle in the lives of the characters that I hope will make loyal watchers and future binge-watchers feel like this wonderful, 88-episode trip had a purpose."

The final episode of "Raising Hope" airs Friday, April 4, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
