|'Game of Thrones' Power Players|
Rundown on alliances, strengths and weaknesses of characters in Season 2
By Deanna Barnert
When HBO's "Game of Thrones" picks up April 1, it is anyone's game. With the Seven Kingdoms in civil turmoil, MSN TV presents the rundown on Season 2's power players. Of course, everything is relative. An alliance can always betray and a strength can easily become a weakness. All the players share a healthy dose of entitlement, for example, but those who overplay their hands may end up wearing a molten crown like Viserys Targaryen. Too much honor, on the other hand, may land their heads on stakes, as Ned Stark learned. Characters who don't have their eyes on the Iron Throne will also play their part, including the Stark youngsters, Arya, Sansa and Bran; King Robert's bastard son Gendry; Tyrion's whore Schae; and Season 2 newcomers like Brienne of Tarth, Jeyne Westerling, Alton Lannister and Ygritte.
Season 2 of "Game of Thrones" premieres Sunday, April 1, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.
