Cast teases whether new Duncan baby will be a boy
or girl
By Deanna Barnert Special to MSN TV
"Good Luck Charlie" is
having the baby -- finally! But cast members Bridgit Mendler, Jason Dolley, Bradley Steven Perry, Leigh-Allyn Baker and Eric Allan Kramer are still keeping
certain details mum. The baby's sex and fan-picked name won't be revealed until
the Sunday, June 24, one-hour episode "Special Delivery," which promises to be a
doozy. It wouldn't be a Duncan birth without a dose of insanity, after
all.
"For those who remember Charlie's birth, a lot of crazy things happened,"
Bridgit Mendler (Teddy) set up. "This birth is no different, [except] Teddy's a
lot more involved in the actual delivery."
"Amy Duncan, poor thing," Leigh-Allyn Baker (Amy) added with a sigh. "She has
help this time, and it still doesn't go according to plan!"
With hormonal Amy ready to burst, the girls don't want to wait any longer to
meet Baby Duncan. They also don't want him or her to steal Charlie's birthday.
While they team up on a delivery mission, the Duncan guys also try balancing
baby prep with Charlie's impending birthday. Gabe's task is simple enough. He
just has to pick up Charlie's gift.
P.J. and Bob have a more substantial job. "They're buying a new car," Jason
Dolley (P.J.) previewed. "That goes horribly. Everything goes horribly, except
for one thing."
One can assume that "one thing" is a healthy baby, rather than P.J. and
Gabe's princess date with Charlie.
"I've put on crazy costumes in my history with Disney: None have been as
affecting as that," Dolley admitted. "The wig helped. That made it feel more
like a costume, but for awhile, I was just wearing a dress and boots. It was
weird!"
Needless to say, much goes down before Baby Duncan arrives to accept the name
the world has chose for him or her. Twenty-five million votes were cast, and a
few even came from the set.
"We didn't have any input on the name, but I did vote online," Mendler
shared. "[Bo, Jonah and Erica] were names of writers on our show, which was fun,
so I voted for those. The interesting thing was that, nationally, there was a
name picked, but then [after] tallying up the international vote, a different
name was chosen."
Baby Makes 7
By any name, this baby will shake things up for the Duncan household, just as
it did the cast.
