Homer Simpson, "The Simpsons"

Yes, Homer is a tubby oaf more often than not. Or a "baboon," as Lisa calls him in one memorable episode. Also, he gives Marge a bowling ball named Homer as a gift, which is almost as bad as giving a woman a vacuum cleaner. 

And yet we do love him so, especially the episode where he lets Lisa ride the bus by herself to the museum. She gets on the wrong one. He tries to find her. Eventually, they break into the museum together after hours and have the beautiful father-daughter bonding moment of being chased by dogs.
