|There's no business like family business|
Working together sure can be hard when you're related
By Robert Isenberg
Everybody hates office politics -- especially when you're related to all your co-workers. But even today, couples start companies, children take over and grandchildren inherit the keys. For family businesses, a job isn't just a job; it's also an extension of home, and all the love and chaos that home life entails.
To mark the premiere of "Family Tools," we decided to round up some of our favorite family businesses from prime-time TV. What would they be known for? What would their classified ads look like? Whether it's a restaurant, a corner store, or dealing contraband, mom-and-pop operations put family first -- and money a very close second.
"Family Tools" premieres Wednesday, May 1 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
