|Let's go camping!|
12 of the best campgrounds on TV
By Michaela Sinclair
With summer finally here, preparations are underway for family vacations, barbeques and outdoor adventures. For some of us, these hot months elicit memories of our adolescence at sleep-away camp: feeling homesick (hello muddah, hello faddah!), nursing mosquito bites, crushing on the cute older counselor and playing pranks on the other campers across the lake.
Rachel Griffiths returns to the small screen as Mackenzie Granger, the recently divorced owner and director of Little Otter Family Camp, on NBC's new one-hour dramedy, "Camp." While Mackenzie struggles to keep the camp from financial ruin, her son and counselor-in-training vows to lose his virginity by the end of the summer as the other young counselors fall in and out of love.
In anticipation of the series premiere of "Camp" on Wednesday, July 10, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, we bring you back to summers past with these summer camps that also made it on television.
