| Golden Globes Undressed! The Best |
By Kat Giantis Special to MSN Entertainment
Ship Shape: Sometimes, it pays to play it safe. While some
misguided souls might dismiss Kate Winslet's black, strapless Yves Saint Laurent column as
boring, blah or bridesmaid-ish, we think its goof-proof classiness is what makes
it a resounding success. The winsome British thespian, who walked away with two
well-deserved Golden Globes, is smart enough to realize that there's no point in
being uncomfortable in risky, straight-off-the-runway couture when she can be
the picture of simple elegance in basic black (OK, not so basic black, courtesy
of the Chopard diamond brooch glittering at her waist). Besides, who needs
flashy fashion when you have the ultimate accessory in Leonardo DiCaprio, whose pinstriped, velvet-accented tuxedo
is a big improvement over the raggedy togs he was wearing as he went to his
watery grave after Kate failed to skooch over on her roomy wooden board as the
Titanic sank nearby. (WireImage.com) |
