Dowton Abby deserves much  more recognition than it received. At least Maggie Smith was awarded for great performance in the series.

Gees, I have never seen one group of people so anxious to "pat each other on the back" every chance they get.  They are paid gobs of money for entertainment.  Frankly, I would rather that doctors, teachers, police, fireman be paid the same money and get the praise they deserve.  These Hollywood jerks do not deserve what they have.  I would venture to say that most of them do not have anything beyond a high school diploma if that.

At least the Golden Globes recognize there is a distinct difference in movies and musicals.  Am really happy Daniel Day Lewis and Hugh Jackman won for their performances...wish the Academy had the distinction.  'Argo" was a great movie and am glad to see Ben Affleck get his just due (should have at least gotten a nomination from the Academy).  Tom Hooper should have been nominated for Best Director for 'Les Mis'.
