Double duty

We take a look at some small-screen stars who think they can sing

By Barbara Atkinson
Special to MSN TV

The upcoming premiere of "Nashville" is generating buzz, due in large part to the genuine singing chops brought forth by co-stars Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. The two are treading into potentially dangerous waters, though: Actors more often than not are judged extra harshly when they place themselves behind the mic stand. That's somewhat understandable, as some are admittedly much better at it than others. Here's just a small sampling of TV stars who've attempted to pull off this double duty.

"Nashville" airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
