Michael C. Hall, "Dexter" (Showtime)

As mentioned, Hall has a haunting visage. Obviously, it's one of the reasons he landed the role as serial killer Dexter Morgan. Hall's chillingly blank stare and sad eyes helped him convince viewers as David Fisher on HBO's funeral-home drama "Six Feet Under," too. Because of "Dexter," that show is a distant memory. Come to think of it, does Dexter ever really smile even when he kills a villain or spends time with his son? Hmmm.
