| Unscripted Moments at the Emmys |
Special to MSN TV Since reality TV continues to move toward broadcast dominance, we thought it fitting to acknowledge the Emmys by journeying through some classic unscripted moments in the show's history. While the Emmys aren't as loose as, say, the MTV Movie Awards, there's just enough booze flowing among its esteemed attendees to create some loose lips, and plenty of jubilated good vibrations to result in endearingly silly victory celebrations. The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards airs Sunday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on ABC. So whether it's a Hawkeye handstand or a kiss from Matthew Perry, here are 10 of our favorites, or just plain most famous, unrehearsed moments. Lucille Ball forgets glasses, bungles presentation (1975) By 1975, Lucille Ball was a bona fide living legend and could get away with just about anything, including arriving to the podium without her glasses to present Outstanding Comedy Series to "The Mary Tyler Moore Show." After fidgeting with different envelopes for close to a minute, Milton Berle finally rushed up and came to her rescue, but not before teasing her to use an empty wine glass as bifocals. A hilarious moment from one of Hollywood's golden eras. Bing: Emmy Awards 2012 | Emmy nominees Want more TV? Be sure to follow MSN TV on Facebook and Twitter (AP) |
