Dr. Horrible hijacks the Emmys
Hosting the 2009 Emmys, Harris let things get a bit out of control --
because the event was hi-jacked by Dr. Horrible! That's right, just as
the esteemed accountants from Ernst & Young were about to explain the
uber-complicated process of tabulating Emmy votes, Dr. Horrible -- he of "Dr.
Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" -- took over the airwaves to let "sofa monkeys"
nationwide know that television was dead. Of course, Dr. Horrible's anti-TV
spiel was itself hijacked by Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion). Harris's musical super-villain
web series -- a collaboration with pal Joss Whedon -- went on to win an Emmy
itself that very evening in "the most incomprehensible category,"
short-format live-action special.
