HBO topped the list of Thursday's Emmy Awards nominations with a huge 108 nominations. No other cable network came close with Showtime taking the No. 2 slot at 51 noms.

As for broadcast, NBC and CBS tied with 53 noms each. ABC came in third at 45.

HBO's fantasy drama, "Game of Thrones," was the premium cable's most recognized series. It took away 16 noms, including Best Drama.

But, FX's "American Horror Story: Asylum" tops the list. The series walked away with a whopping 17 nominations, including Best Miniseries. In total, FX nabbed 26 noms.

Notably, Netflix walked away with 14 nominations, including Best Drama for "House of Cards."

Was never a fan of the fantasy genre, but Game of Thrones is really well done.  It deserves the emmy nominations as it is one of the best series on television.  I recently dropped cable and Game of Thrones is the one of the only things I will miss.

The Emmy's are phony. A bunch of liberal BS that pick liberal crap to further it's agenda......I see FNC no nominations....surprise, surprise, surprise
