Nibley became one of the principal writers of the studio's "Roy Rogers" vehicles, remaining in this niche until "Rogers" left films in 1951. Thereafter, Nibley continued to specialize in Westerns until his own retirement in 1956; one of his more famous credits was the 1952 "Gary Cooper" starrer "Springfield Rifle".
