In the early 1960s, after his best-selling book "Psycho" was adapted into Hitchcock's film, Bloch himself became a screenwriter of mystery, suspense, and horror movies, including such chillers as "Strait Jacket" (1964), "The Skull" (1965) and "The House That Dripped Blood" (1971).
