Biography:Occasionally billing himself "Buster Poindexter", "David Johansen" is a supporting actor and former lead singer for the glam rock band the New York Dolls. He was also a vocalist for the live band on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" during the 1986-1987 season. Johansen made his film debut starring in "Candy Mountain" (1987).
