The Most Blood Curdling 'True Blood' Season 4 Moments

A look back at the bloodcurdling moments of 'True Blood' Season 4

By Deanna Barnert
Special to MSN TV

It was a hot summer of fangy trysts and witchy drama, but another sexy and horrifying season 4 of "True Blood" came to a close. Life in Bon Temps wasn't as bloody as in the past, but when blood was shed, oh did things ever get messy! In the penultimate episode alone, we were treated to magical blood-slurping, force field barbecuing and the brutal murder of wolf pack leader, Marcus.

Here's a look back at the bloodcurdling moments as Season 4 comes out on DVD.

Fae beauty is only skin deep

Season 4 found Sookie (Anna Paquin) in a dazzling fae paradise of glowing fruit and fairies. It didn't take long for our heroine to blast the cap off that fairy tale. When Sookie shot Queen Mab (Rebecca Wisocky) with her light, the world decomposed around her. Sookie escaped the putrid decay with her granddaddy's help, the fae breeding grounds seemed quiet, but the fairies aren't done. After Claudine returned to make a plea to Sookie, Eric "accidentally" took her out,  and pretty Mirella seduced Sheriff Andy into swearing his fealty to the light. Will Andy's promise blow up in Bon Temps' face now or simmer until Season 5?
