Popular Searches 31Comments Jul 17, 2012 9:42AM I am so sick of reality TV. Whatever happened to the sitcoms that were funny and had some kind of moral value to them. We used to have great game shows and fun TV and great 11:00 pm. movies. This is all gone and all we have to contend with is reality shows that are based on sex, cheating, lying and back stabbing. Lets get real and bring back real TV that is clean, fun and worth spending hard earned money to pay for cable. Whoever is in charge of creating the current TV shows should be fired. In my opinion, they lack creativity, talent and cannot think outside of the box. The best shows on TV at this point is Deadliest Catch and Swamp People. These shows show the strife that people go through trying to make a living for their families. These programs have wholesome values to them. I am tired of the sex, filthy language and brainless programs that are shoved in our face. It's time for good television viewing to come back. Jan Hall Jul 17, 2012 8:56AM In the late 60's, early 70's, when I had the occasional opportunity to view television programming from overseas, I always laughed and was thankful we weren't subjected to the ridiculous game shows and bad reality based shows, that dominated their airwaves. Today, primarily because of the "nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste or, intelligence of the American public" mentality, plus our digital camera everywhere, exhibitionist/ voyeur society, the business model of very low risk/ production costs versus high rewards of reality TV, has made the brain dead, alcoholic, tramp at the party we all laughed at years ago, or soulless, gold digging social climbers, wealthier, more relevant and culturally important to America, than Pulitzer Prize winning authors, those who sacrifice to help others, or "working class heroes". Jul 17, 2012 8:25AM Television is disgusting trash, and nothing but sleaze, smut, and vulgarity!!!...We have to be subjected to this smut trash, every day, and don't tell me to switch to another channel, as it is all the same!!....No respect for parents, shows showing bitchy teens, as well as too much tits and ****, and the freakin commercials just dominate every program!!...When is enough, enough with all these commercials, every 8 minutes, and on top of that these idiot pop-ups, that are just plain dumb!!...I have had it up to my eyes, with the way the FCC lets these programs run, and then the execs, that bring us the channels, want more money every year!!!....cable rates are crazy, and this country needs to take a close look at what really counts......people like us, that go out and buy those dumb products, and then those sponsors sit back, and watch their paychecks fill to capacity.!!...FCC do something!! Jul 18, 2012 1:33AM Hate all of these shows rather not even have a tv any more with the crap they put on. It use to be easy to change the channel and find a show you wanted to watch . now it almost the same on every channel you don't have a choice. one that is bleeping so you go crazy listening to bleep and you really know what there saying why don't they just speak the words if there going to let them use them. or who cares about the Kardasin or the Osborne's or the who ever, use to be just at the news stand and you had a choice now its pushed down your throat. A&E History Nat Geo they used to have very good program informative and good movies. very few now.. Way to many food shows also Im 64 years old my mother had a restaurant for years never heard of most of the food names they use. catsup is catsup not some super name you wouldn't use because you didn't know it was really catsup (.just a for instance)seems like if one show has a good rating we start to see 100 starting up. little people, animals .cooking ,reality. I hate these even more ant or car auctions along with pawn star or storage wars if you go to an auction its not just the same people all the time its lots of people do they think we are that stupid . COME ON TV PEOPLE LISTEN TO US!!!!!! . Jul 17, 2012 11:19AM Report Are you sure you want to delete this comment? | ||||
